What is this?

Project Kazbek Fairy Tale is a dream. Dream of two people to climb over 5000 m (16 000 ft). 

We are married yet quite different office worker, helpless self-proclaimed artist (and marketing office worker) We have  a dream. And low earnings, for two of us its under 600$/month.

We managed to somehow gather our savings, so we were able to went to Georgia and ascend some peak above 3000 m (10 000 ft) unfortunately this, let call it "expedition" didn't go so well. What happened you can read on our blog. 

We are asking for help. We are shamelessly asking for money, because without it we can not manage to fulfill our dream. Some dreams need money to fulfill it safely. 

Of course, we could just gather money for Kazbek Ascend and be pulled there by guide. But that's not what we want. We want true ascend. Without help, yet safe.

So, what is Project Kazbek Fairy Tale beside the ascend of Kazbek? 

  Three peaks over 4000 m (13000 ft): 

Aragats 4092 m (13420 ft) highest peak in Armenia and the whole Lesser Caucasus. 

Jabal Toubkal 4167 m (13671 ft) highest peak in Marocco and the whole Atlas Mountains 

One alpine peak chosen later, to train ourselves in snow and ice before ascending Kazbek.

Two "condition treks" 

Trek in Gorgany, probably the wildest range in Europe west from the Caucasus. 

Trek in the Caucasus "around Kazbek" trough not very well-known valleys and passes and also trek to Kelithsadi lake with ascend on Mount Khorisar 3736 m (12257 ft)

Climbing course 

Winter tourism course in Tatra  

Avalanche course in Tatra 

Glacier course in Alps  (unfortunetly we don't have glaciers in Tatra)

  

 And last but not least Kazbek ascend, probably with some aclimatisation trek before. 

  

Of course, we plan to leave something from this adventure. Some form of guides for next trekkers and probably some free to download photo album and maybe some short non-ficiton about project. And I hope we can figure out how to spread goodwill You will show founding us even further.
